My saddest moment

My saddest moment

A Poem by Marisa!(:
"

True event. My thoughs, and how I felt.

"

I am sad.

My grandmother, my second mother,

Has taken the journey to another world,

And has left me.

She who raised me,

She who cared for me,

She who put my needs before her own,

Who wanted the best for me.

Mad the last time she saw me,

Mad at me when I said my final goodbye,

Mad because she did not wish to go,

To go to that nursing home

Awakened to my mothers tears,

Awakened to the sad side of reality,

Awakened to the those words that valentines day morning,

Those words that she had passed away, gone forever.

I beat myself up cover how I never got I chance to say goodbye,

I cry myself to sleep over it sometimes,

I will never forget her and our memories that we shared,

I am depressed.

A tragedy. A very sad and moving poem.

The hardest part of loving someone is letting go. We grieve not for them, but for ourselves. We are left here with an empty void to fill. It is human nature to want someone to stay our whole life. But we forget they may be suffering and our loving to keep them can prolong the agony of being only an empty vessel with no desire to be left alone anymore. Modern medicine has made it so that sometimes we live longer in misery that we should. Your grandmother loved you and gave to provided for you while she could. She would not want you to be in agony anymore over her death. You experienced one of many great loses you will have in your lifetime. She is probably telling everyone in heaven of this magnificent work of poetry you have created and how it tells of your immense love for her. You are a gifted writer and this piece is full of raw emotion. You so well state it with "Awakened to the sad side of reality." Keep your words flowing, talented poetess.

This is very moving. I could actually feel your pain. I think it's a good thing that you can take something that tragic and traumatic and make it into something creative and meaningful. Writing is about expressing yourself, your deepest emotions and memories - even the unpleasant ones and you can do that. For me that means you're in the right track.
