Thank You God

 

 

 

I woke up this morning crying

sadness surrounded me

who's life am I living

when once I felt so free

 

I looked back to see

the reflection in my mirror

sadness on my face

I am asking you God

to find my happy place

 

I will surround myself

with people that I love

the people you sent to me God

from the beautiful heavens

up above

 

We are all one

your children

of all colors

one race

human

that no one can replace

 

Thank you God

for shining lights

that lead us to our path

along the way

we may stray

but your light is here for us
