Wondering How You’re Doing

Wondering How You’re Doing

A Poem by Marinabeana

My head and chest are heavy
Eyes dark and puffy
Pale lips sipping on my drink
As I feel your presence
Entering our favorite bar
I am not nearly as numb as I want to be
And I can’t even stand to look at you
Side glances are all I can bear
Seeing your low-lit reflection in the mirror
Smiling, then somber
Among the many bottles of booze
Both staring up at the stupid tv
Some football re-run
My eyes rim with salty tears
How can you just leave
Like I mean nothing
Like everything meant nothing
Not worth your time or words
My every thought is painted with you
The colors seem darker
Do you miss me at all?
Do you have a heart?
Are you void of a brain?
F**k you
