Shia LaBeouf

Shia LaBeouf

A Poem by Marinabeana

I’m looking at my empty passenger seat
How it’s pushed back as far as it can go
From when you, 6’4”, were sitting in it
Drunk and laughing
Listening to that stupid Shia LaBeouf song
It’s been that way for over two weeks now
I cannot bring myself to push it forward again
This empty feeling has crawled into my chest
And made a home there
No matter how hard I try
I cannot stop thinking about you
Sitting under the stars on that bench by the river
Talking about the most random things
Your arms around me
I think you felt alive
I felt alive
And now I don’t
