I have this aching in my chest
This hollow feeling of sadness
Staring at empty walls
Heart beating in my head
Pins and needles in my limbs
Nausea in my stomach
Pondering what has happened
In this last year
F**k, what has happened
Throughout my whole life
All of the loss
Insecurities
Dark times
And I think you feel that emptiness too
But thanks to a small yellow pill
And mostly you
I’m starting to feel happiness again
Excitement in my gut
Fast words and sweaty palms
Side glances and shy smiles
Let’s get better together
Shall we?
