Glow

Glow

A Poem by Marinabeana

The sun is hanging low
But there’s still enough light
To see your shimmering eyes
Green and yellow raindrops in your irises
Surrounded by reddish brown lashes
And laugh lines
Pigmented freckles
Looking at everything
I can’t help but be in awe
Of how beautiful the earth is
The trees smell sweet
The grass is freshly mowed
The sky is bright blue
A summer glow
Hovering over the land
And I feel this strange feeling
That I haven’t felt in such a long time
I bet you can see my smile in space
As I dance along the sidewalk
This feeling won’t last forever
But I am so glad to be sharing it
With you
