SilenceA Poem by MarinaWhat is it about you that makes me feel so small and invisible Sometimes it's like me and the fly on the f*****g wall are the same thing Equally unnoticeable Equally separated from the world When I'm with you I strive to be someone other than me Because me might not be enough Might not be good enough To match your "greatness" Self-proclaimed king Self-declared Majesty I don't even have my Self I give it to you unwillingly unnoticeably undeniably It disgusts you It disgusts me Such power deserves something equal you might think Not a timid smudge on the wall that you make me feel Or is it me Is it me that I make me feel like this My silence disturbs you It penetrates your being like a sword Perhaps this is my power in my insignificance
