Rockabilly Nellie

Rockabilly Nellie

A Poem by Marina
"

Just making characters out of songs again.

"
Black haired Nellie
with her rockabilly bangs
knew there was one more
song to be sung
So she walked over the cigarette filled floor
untied a button from her short sleeve polka dot
and swung her hips to the devilish
rock n roll riff trot.
Her skeleton tattoos
started moving on the rockabilly blues
And her pin-up like mole
made every boy take a stroll
down to the water hole.
Nellie's perfume smelled like fire
You know the one that makes men perspire
And her groovy walk wasn't made to stop
Now poor, young Jon was easy to get caught
In the net that Nellie chose to throw
Another victim of her red peep toe.

Yes and this poem is sassy as well... Give this a listen, I know it's rough but it's mean to capture the feel https://soundcloud.com/j-todd-underhill/rockabilly

Glad you enjoyed!
Something tells me young Jon was quite happy to be caught.
Definitely needs a part 2

Break a habit of a lifetime. lol
Nice. I was a rockabilly rebel, so long ago, in the far, far away. From the straycats, to the psychobilly of the meteors and the cramps....I don't recall why or how that particular ride stopped, but thanks fpr the memories :)
