The Porch

The Porch

A Poem by MarilynT

He always waits
beside the door
three step-children
by his side.
He does not speak
but I am sure
Tis only time he bides.
Some early morn
I will rush out
after an urgent call
never noticing he has gone
til to the ground I fall.

Marilyn --

A very enigmatic piece. I don't know for sure that I have a complete handle on your subject. The meaning dances away from me at times, which makes me think about the piece over and over.

Thanks for entering "The Kitchen Sink" contest.
