Palm To Cheek

Palm To Cheek

A Poem by Marilyn My Bitterness

I am holding your cheek in my palm
Pressing it against your tender flesh
Using my thumb to brush away the tears
I know I've caused and deeply regret

Admit it not but I know you are aching
I know your disposition to act strong
But know I only want the best for us
Even if that means I must be gone

I never intended for this to happen
To find another so soon or at all
All I can do is beg your forgiveness
Since your own I no longer will be called

Cold ba******d. Just kidding. Great job my friend. I hate the speaker so bad I want to spit in their face. I cant imagine anything about this person being genuinly tender, including their hand. You might think about changeing 'my' in line 2 to 'your'. I think that would be more believable (imho.) Really great write...I'll be back :)
