Forgiveness.

Forgiveness.

A Poem by Marilyn My Bitterness

You may just have to live up to that promise
It's sad but true
Because when I think back to before
I hardly remember you

I have met so many people since then
Many vie for your position
One in particular sticks close to me
Do I accept his proposition?

I don't want to hurt you when
I hear your voice on the phone
I want to tell you what's going on
But I hesitate and tell you nothing's wrong

So if you've heard rumors
They just may be true
I can understand if you hate me
I just don't remember what it was like to be with you.

I love how you capture the feeling that comes with trying to move on after a relationship. It is so simple and it flows so well, brilliant really! I'm not very good at articulating how much I like this poem! I leave it at brilliant!
