A Poem by Marilyn My Bitterness

This anger and rage
Boils deep in my core
Everytime I see a smirk
I want to see no more

I smile and wave
And put on this intricate pretense
But inside lies a viper
Ready to spit venom in defense

And although I try to contain
The beast that lives inside
It seems as though certain people
Like to coerce it outside

I'll take responsibility
As I am this lion's tamer
Unfortunately the wound is lasting
You have had a disclaimer.
