The Hibernating Heart

The Hibernating Heart

A Poem by Marilyn My Bitterness

The black hole on which all of me once stood
The epicenter of my body, mind, and soul
Has evaporated into sheer nothingness
And is hibernating through the cold

It has closed up so tight on itself
To maintain a constant warmth
And protect a glorious ember
Always torrid in it's hearth

Ready to battle forces
Any internal or out
Residing on in me
Privileged and
Absent of
Doubt.
