Awakened by the saddness in your eyes,

I feel you calling out to me, reaching for me.

Awakened by the softness of your touch,

Knowing im safe and unharmed with you.

 

Awakened by the love in your voice,

Speaking to me in the clear words of romance.

Awakened by your being,

Having you with me makes it possible to live.

 

Awakened by the dream of tomorrow,

and what the future might hold.

Awakened by your life,

and how the breath of you is just enough...

 

Awakened by the rush of addiction,

as i start to crave you more and more.

Awakened by the cold,

the truth of reality.

 

Awakened from my dreams,

and plunged into this nightmare.

Awakened by the thought,

of you, never existing.

 

Awakened are many,

from the darkness of life.

Awakened are many,

who share the same role as me.
