Tim And Tide They Say, Wait For No Man

Tim And Tide They Say, Wait For No Man

A Poem by Marie-Louise.
"

Times we are living in now.

"

Time and tide, they say, wait for no man

Time when man is in such dire straits

When time and tide no longer waits

Now man must loose his sense of time

Locked away from death and grime

Knowing that so many of his fellow men

Must lose  their lives to this invisible fiend

There is no time to reason who or why

Indiscriminately chosen to live or die

there was no time, it smote so fast

Lives despoiled for those that love their lost

Many lives to rule. Many rules to live

With patience now your time to give

Thousand now give up their time

To help our loved ones, your and mine

But take heart you prisoners of time

Time will come to share your wine

Time will come when once more we are free

Time for celebrations there will be

But somber times of remembrance too

Thousands have died, unknown to you

But they will want us to be free

Free to breath the air without a mask

Free to shake a hand and kiss a friend

Free to dance below the skies above

Free to share our lives with those we love

Those who have died fighting this war would want us to survive, to end up free again.
It is certainly ruling our lives at this moment....locking us away from each other.
The interaction with poets on this site is one thing that is helping to keep me sane...
i am thankful for that.
Love this write, Marie-Louise...
