Love Through Life

Love Through Life

A Poem by Marie-Louise.
"

Love at different times in life.

"

LOVE

Love...when first you hold that tiny hand,
Hold that bundle in your arms.
You look into those searching eyes
and know this child, entrusted to you
Will grow and learn with love.

Love...watching children through the window,
Playing games and having fun.
Falling down, first tears then laughter.
Growing up with independence.
Teen age now and life you love.

Love...the tender act of falling,
Eyes meeting, heart throbbing.
Of hands touching. Your first kiss,
You feel the swoon as you return it.
This could be the start of love

Love...first touch of your breast
Kissing your eyes,
searching for lips
Then passion flies
And together you yearn for...the next time.

Love...when time is running shorter.
Shared, the gentle art of caring.
Holding hands and tender kisses.
Life together still so precious,
Giving time to those you love.

How intangible love is; but can you imagine a world without love? I can't.

Such a lovely journey through life you offer here Marie-louise.

Very nice poem about the love of a parent. I like it. I currently have a son and my fiance is pregnant with our second child.

transitions happen here....love at birth, love in life, love seals the deal at the end...
time from day one...precious....and if it is filled with love...the clock will tick comfortably.
beautiful poem Marie.

Yes...love is the true essence of life....to go through our journey without experiencing it in all of its guises is a missed opportunity. As you have written it courses through our lives just as the blood through our veins. Its life giving and a very precious commodity.

I enjoyed the theme and the progressive flow of love's impact on our lives from the beginning to the end. It always changes, but it is always there. Nice work.

Very nice look at the seasons of love. It would be nice if we could all make it to the last stanza.
