love versus love

I read of deep endless love
Where two become one so easily
I think to myself how different
Life is for us in reality
Love is fights in the kitchen
About rinsing bowls and plates
And staying up all night talking
Even after knowing it's late
Love is sharing the bathroom
Even when you aren't sharing the bed
And learning how to trust sometimes
That your heart knows more than your head
Love is sharing the flu
And picking up their socks
And knowing that they love
Everything you think you're not
Love isn't always beautiful
Fairy tales don't exist
The you and them sometimes gets lost
With the decision to have kids
The love of lovers sounds good on paper
But reality will have its way
But if asked to choose between the two
I'll take the real stuff any day

i really like this because i share this philosophy....at first love is fresh and intriguing and so sensual...
there is much passion, excitement etc. but if it is real love it will last to and through the mundane things that come with it...and the real life of not only kids...but all the bad stuff that we learn as we go along...and all the real stuff that isn't so romantic...
