TWO STRANGERS AT THE STATION

Last night while coming back from a love experiment….

Firstly, what is a love experiment? It’s an act to love someone unconditionally.

It’s an experiment because you make a conscious decision to love mindful of the failure, disappointment and tiresome, even frustrating (as someone put) activity. If the experiment is a success your coming days will enveloped with an exhilarating feeling of fulfillment.

Coming back to that night, between changing trains, from airport express to dwarka city. A girl started conversing with me, it all started with train directions. I am never confident sharing information with strangers but our society who picks up life partners from websites, social media, has blurred the line between strangers and acquaintances. I am especially blessed with such experiences of meeting strangers who share their history with me or equip themselves with my personal information, never to meet again. They may be talking about me somewhere, with their family or friend just as I am writing about them today.

Such chance conversations embolden both. Next time we approach people with much openness and less suspicion. 

I got a seat next to her. Sensing my hesitation she has stopped asking. I felt bad to have shut her out, which has always been in my nature. It’s safe, it’s doable, and it’s an automatic reaction. I continued the conversation after a good half an hour silence… she need to make an urgent call to her brother to pick her up from station, it was dark now. She spoke with nervousness, shying from eye contact.

I ended up taking her email id to inform her of any vacancy. Before off boarding I wished her good luck. She smiled.

How desperate she must be for job that she approached for help from any stranger.
