I Love You MommyA Poem by Maria997We see what a baby feels inside his mother while she rids herself of him. From heaven I came and nestled in your womb Here I lay inside waiting till you find the news The smile on your face Oh how extravagant that moment will be The moment when you notice you will be my mommy But wait are those tears from your eyes that I see? Are you ashamed of something? Are you ashamed of me? No mommy, please don’t say I’m a mistake God sent me here, God led the way What are you doing? What is that thing that I see? Owe, mommy make it stop! That thing is hurting me! I can’t bare this My little soul squirms in pain I thought you’d stop them I thought you’d tell them go away But I learned that you rid yourself of consequence And of that, I was living evidence You killed me right after giving me life Now all that is left of me is an image in your mind Of how I would look a couple years from now Or if I was to be good, if I would make you proud But don’t worry Though you’re ashamed of me I love you mommy, I always did I guarantee. © 2013 Maria997Author's Note
