Death Is Only A Minute Away

Death Is Only A Minute Away

A Poem by Maria Retz
"

Many people have tried to almost die. Those deadly minutes where you are convinced that you will not survive it. Or perhaps problems with your health, your heart, your throat or something that makes you fear you won't survive the next many years...

"

What do you do when you realize
that death is only a minute away.
Life is nothing but an hour,
the minutes pass so fast.

How do you recover from shock?
after experiencing the final second,
that second you fear the most,
where Death will demand what’s his.

Nothing can save you from the end.
Believing in something makes you calm,
but the doubt always lie in wait:
What then? Is there something or not?

Nobody know if we live forever,
or if we merely are bodies waiting to die.
Have we no goal to achieve here on Earth?
Or is there a greater meaning?

I have been in that very last second,
impatiently fearing next step.
No one will ever really understand,
before they have tried that fear themselves.

The English is OK, Ive no problems with it at all.. the poem is good, and inspires the primevil fear of death in all of us... I neary croked myself a few months ago choking in work... canteen was ful of nurses and doctors as I work in a hospital... noone done nothing till a porter gave the Heinrich technique three times and so I live to write today...

Was gone all purple and all... and from my experience you are too busy trying to stay alive to worry about whether or not you will or not...

Wow this is really philosophical and makes you think... it is true you never know when your time might be up, you could be in your safest surroundings and still end up passing on... I found no errors, your grammer was perfect.
