You Are Stronger Than You Think

While you are in situations of overwhelming sorrow and pain, you may think you shall never heal again. However, these situations do have a purpose. Because of such situations, I have found out just how strong I am, how complete my inner strength is.

Isn’t it just amazing

how much pain you can handle,

when you have no choice?

 

Inside you there’s chaos,

everything’s out of control,

but you are still alive.

 

You swim in dusty mud,

feel you make no progress,

and yet you’re moving.

 

You keep on swimming,

move toward the hidden light

you know awaits you somewhere.

 

And then you give in to despair,

while you keep moving on,

reaching out in blindness.

 

Oh, isn’t it just amazing

how much pain you can handle.

You are stronger than you think.
