Calmness

Calmness

A Poem by Black Branches

Somewhere far away meadows,

a small spring,

the sound of a lyre,

smiling people.

In cornfields, peasants working.

I searched for a medicinal herb.

This reminds me very much, of another of your writings; although it might just be coincidence. After all, when someone genuinely resonates with certain places or feelings; that a writer may often return to those.? No setting for this one is specified, but clearly seems to be a tranquil rural location. Where people happen to be "calm", inwardly content and at one with their surroundings. From this writer's perspective, she probably already has the images in her mind (from first hand experience); and thus decided not to describe in more detail what the "meadows" actually look like (for example). However, I have no doubt whatsoever; that she's more than capable.
