EmptinessA Poem by Black Branches
Abandoned pastures,
Houses, yard spaces Where long grass has sprouted - Trees with dried branches, Owners of space: The dead, the displaced, Others Who decided to close their doors Forever. Like snails Who’ve grown new homes onto their bodies. Glass of broken windows. Books stacked on shelves, Without readers. Damp-ridden dust, Dwelling of rodents. Houses, Abandoned Houses. © 2024 Black BranchesFeatured Review
