Second Season

Second Season

A Poem by Mari-Sweet

Winter

(Fill in the blank)

Summer

Fall

You know the season.

It comes after winter,

But right before summer.

Not one season,

But two--like a

Winter and summer fusion.

You know the season.

The ice blankets disappear,

But the Arctic waters still remain.

Contrasted to first and third season,

But compared to fourth season.

The season of birth.

You know the season.

No more candy bars and milkshakes,

But lemon drops and gumdrops.

This second season is none other than…

That’s right!

(Fill in the blank)
