Spiritual Wedding

Spiritual Wedding

A Poem by Mari-Sweet

On this earth today, we are

engaged to be married to the Son of God.

We are the bride and He is the groom.

Our Lord Jesus Christ is our Future Heavenly Husband

who will come and take us away.

On that wedding day, a light brighter than

the sun will penetrate the clouds.

He will appear on a white horse,

wearing a robe as pure as white snow.

We will be snatched away

as quick as a flash of light.

This will be called a Spiritual Wedding.

At the sound of the trumpet,

the grave will open and the righteous dead will rise first.

Then those of us who remain alive will be

caught up to meet Jesus Christ in the air.

God’s voice will sound as a boom of thunder, saying,

“Well done, My good and faithful servant!”

Then we will walk up a cloud staircase

to greet Jesus with a hug.

Afterwards, we will walk right through

the golden pearly gates onto the streets of gold.

This will be a Spiritual Wedding.
