Black Hole

Black Hole

A Poem by Mari-Sweet

Exploring a black hole is like being blind.

An empty dark space with no walls--

if you could ever visit one,

how far inside could you go

before reaching the end?

Or maybe there is no end.

You would be free to go

up, down, left, right,

or you could float at a standstill.

If you could ever visit one,

you would be free to flip,

cartwheel, and swim through this free space.

But what if there are objects

that have gotten sucked in?

How could you possibly get around them?

Maybe you should use a walking stick.

But what if I told you

that this dead star is really

a death vacuum with no way out?
