Random SeasonsA Poem by Mari-SweetSnow is icing on the ground. All the trees are bald. Lonely gardens leave no art for us to enjoy. Love permeates the frozen air. Watch out for thin glass on the lake! Snow swallows up food for wildlife. Glass forms on bodies of water. Water quenches sand’s thirst. Sand is a blanket made out of grains. The yellow ball’s heat smothers the air. The smell of salt rises from the ocean. Trees have grown their hair back. Careful not to burn your feet on the blanket! The breath of honeysuckles mixes with the toasty breeze. Trees begin to grow hair again. Gardens are no longer lonely now that the art has returned. The ground’s icing slowly disappears. Rain increases to nourish nature’s art work. Glass finally starts to disintegrate. Nature holds back the darkness a little longer. Beware of the insect with the killer needle! Days start shrinking more and more. Art work gradually deteriorates. Don’t be fooled by the yellow ball’s appearance! Dry hair on the ground gets raked up into one big pile. On some days, the breeze blows its breath extra hard. Trees begin to experience hair loss after color change. The sand’s grains begin to cool off. © 2011 Mari-SweetAuthor's Note
