Dream Flight With A Friend II

Dream Flight With A Friend II

A Poem by Mari-Sweet

I was in another slumber movie,

which took place in an outdoor setting.

I was up in the air

and so were you.

Again, I took your hand so you could

fly with me. I felt a magic spark

from your hand, when you started

pulling me down like you did

in the last movie. "Never mind."

When I let go of your hand,

I didn't turn around

to look at your face. I just

kept flying but I wasn't as high up

as I was before. I flew into my backyard

and all I cared about was

trying to fly higher into the sky.

As I was struggling, there you were again,

ready for round two. I couldn't

go any higher. The moment our hands

touched the second time, you pulled me

down and the picture suddenly went black.

I could no longer fly. I was up in the air,

moving like I was swimming.

All I could do was float.

Whoops! There goes the movie!

Thanks a lot!

So much for our dream flight!

When you're around and

I'm in flight, I have to choose

between the magic spark

and the beautiful, blue sky.

Which one should I choose?

The magic spark is the path to a downward spiral.

The beautiful, blue sky means the freedom to soar.

My friend, I'm afraid you cannot give me that freedom.
