Trinity of Me

Trinity of Me

A Poem by Marguerite

I look through a window
A portal in time
Before me a woman
A young girl and I.

A cadence of waves
Projected dual flowing tides
A paradoxical canvass
Dizzying imagery for the eyes.

Sounds of joyous laughter
Echoed rhythm in the sky
Lilting soulful weeping
In the breeze softly chimed.

Scene jumbled with scene
Two stories flowed by
Of a spirited bright eyed girl
And a broken woman that hides.

Sitting in the distance
With her back to the tides
Was the link to the paradox
The one called I.

The window was my entrance
To the theater of the sea
The portal my mirror
The trinity of me.

I liked this. The cadence, the words hung together well and the message was clear. Thanks for your review of mine.
