My Heart's Cry

My Heart's Cry

A Poem by Margie F

C 2002

Does it make you feel whole
To tear me down, destroy me?

Do you get a high
To see pain on my face?

Do you ever think twice
When you speak to hurt me?

And do you feel like a man
When you speak with such hate?

Have you thought of how the future is altered?
When you break my spirit and my will to try?

Do you enjoy the trials of having to start over,
And when we do, do you ever know why?

Do you wonder where we would be now
If we could avoid these gross mistakes?

I dare not to think of the where, why and how
For the death of love could be thy fate.

Wow,
I read it,
I read it again to take it all in.
I loved every word.
Great poem.
