Zoo Train

Zoo Train

A Poem by Margie F
"

Read in 4/4 time. Feel the tracks.

"

Tick tack

tick tack

the train

goes down the track

Click clack

click clack

file in

and walk back

Who do

who do

you see

on this choo choo

Two blue

Coo Coo

fly in

and land on you

Boo hoo

boo hoo

a baby cries

from losing a shoe

You grew

blue too

then a child

smiled at you

Woo hoo

woo hoo

the next stop

is the zoo

Blue Zoo

with Coo Coo

exit left

for lots to do

Tick tack

tick tack

the train returns

down the track

Okay, I admit one part of this puzzled me for a full five minutes, before my head caught up, but im still laughing at my own mistake at thinking everyone spoke Scottish and thought "have they got flying cows in GA?
We call cow, coo here...which would make a haiku, a cow in a penthouse :)
Cleverly done, to fit so much into a choo choo choo choo rhythm. :)

Yay! Exactly what I was going for. It is great when others feel what you are trying to communicate.

Thank you for the smile this morning and the feedback.
not only did i feel the tracks...i felt excited about getting to the zoo...
and the rhythm, like an old locomotive...the sound of the onomatopoeia used...choo choo coo coo...
life gets hard sometimes, but there are events and people who make it better...
and at one time or another we all need to be "the little engine that could"---
