You don't know my mommy!

You don't know my mommy!

A Poem by Margaret Marie Hubbard
"

Dealing with physical and mental illness can damage children by some standards. By other's, these kids grown up to be the most compassionate loving people !

"
You don't know my mommy,
how could you?
Does she sacrifice for you
like she does for all the rest?
Do you hear the criticism
of how's she second best.
You don't know my mommy,
how could you?
All you've seen is the goodbye kisses
but you don't know what they mean.
You seen me chase the flashing lights
waving just one last time.
Not because I think she's lost,
but I know she just needs time.
Her heart's too big is what I think
she stands and stares into the brink.
Waiting for a ship or dream
a lost sailing stick upon the stream.
You don't know my mommy,
how could you?
You've never known her so forgiving
stabbed and drugged for sake of living.
You'll see my tears you'll see my face
but you'll never even know a trace.
You don't know my mommy!
How could you?
