Mi Amore' No More

Mi Amore' No More

A Poem by Margaret Marie Hubbard

Fog, silence and freedom
I walk the emerald mile
The folded note beneath you
gives birth to my smile
I roll what's left behind me
few materials shall I need
Your desires for the others
quenched your thirst and greed
Take what I leave behind
burn to ashes if you must
My misery and anguish
are metal left to rust
These steps are my voice
you always did ignore
No longer will your insolence
abuse your Mi Amore'

This poem explains a lot and speaks of a woman who walks away from an unfathful lover...and who has asserted herself at last in taking the steps that lead her away...

The writing flows strongly and confidently and the rhym is unobtrusive but like a glue to hold the words together...
