Never Tell Me I Can't

Never Tell Me I Can't

A Poem by Margaret Marie Hubbard
"

Changed the pic to something funny!

"

If you look upon my face,
you will never see a trace,
of the hell that consumes my health.

Through cancer and pain,
I still dance in the rain,
and my life is full of great wealth.

A doomed age of two,
I still breathe among you,
defying the odds quite unheard.

Withered hands and weak heart,
I refuse to depart,
till I've spoken the very last word.

Give meaning to chance,
I can sing and I dance,
With my angels you call my sons.

Never tell me I can't,
cause I'll rave and I'll rant,
Till I show you it can be done!

Author's Note

Margaret Marie Hubbard
Written about my surviving cancer, having RA, CHF and the two children that I was told would never have. It isn't as powerful as some of my other stuff but it holds meaning to me anyhow.

Pros: Wow, that was.....moving. I don't think I know anyone who has survived as much as you have! You must truly have a fighting spirit and a desire to live. My family hasn't suffered from cancer thank goodness. Actually, my family is really blessed. We haven't had anything bad happen in a long time. And kudos to you for having such strength! If only half the people in the world had this strength...

Cons: None.

Overall: Moving, powerful, something to learn from.
