A Scrupulous Hare

A Scrupulous Hare

A Poem by Margaret Marie Hubbard

The Easter Rabbit you say
Yes, I know of that scrupulous hare
He hides many treats in my grass
Though I'm never quite sure where
I always attempt to seek sweet candy
But it's generally embryos from hens
I rather like them for a snack
But the timing in finding all depends
Those plastics glories I prefer
But I can never outwit the small kids
I suppose that's why I keep
A candy stash hidden in my bins
