Your CrucifixA Poem by Margaret Marie HubbardMidnight writing of words that just flow through my pen to paper.
Upon my wrist the chains entwine
the thoughts of you scrape through my mind. I trusted that no harm would fall upon my broken wounded all. The fire came forth like a hungered dream but I would not fight nor would I scream. I sat in silence as you watched your crucifix unfold. I only fought for what love I had been told. So, strip the layers of false happiness in front of them. But you will see you can never win. For if I die or live to fight, you can't hide through this what was truly right. © 2013 Margaret Marie HubbardAuthor's Note
