Rawr, Shout, Scream it Out

Rawr, Shout, Scream it Out

A Poem by Marcus
"

I don't think this has anything to do with anything, I just wanted to write something if I'm being honest.

"
Smile on my face
but you don't know what I hide behind this mask
Reaching out for you
but you're not within my grasp
Leaving all those that try to drag me down, behind
No stopping me now, it's too late to rewind
Already got too much on my mind,
like you
Wondering why I still want you
Thinking to myself: "What did I do?"
When you left me in the dirt
Did you ever stop to think that I was hurt?
Guess not
Only thinking of yourself,
left me alone, like an old paperback book for you to put upon your shelf
It took sometime, but I figure I'm better off by myself
Don't need nobody else
I'd rather stand alone,
than be dragged down by someone who doesn't want me
I'll find some place else, I can call home
Don't like these words I'm speaking?
Cos I'm no longer putting you first
Tell me, does it hurt?
Tell me, what are you thinking?
Are you regretting leaving?
It's too late for second chances
It's time to put some distance between us
There's nothing more to discuss
