SyntheticA Poem by Slughave you ever felt, synthetic?Through plastic lips I speak, and she listens Through plastic lips I smile, and she smiles back
She likes to caress my synthetic hair with my synthetic fibers and synthetic pores and we've spent so many mornings doing just that and I pretend to listen and I nod and she smiles back
She likes to hold my right hand as my left holds the mask in place her hand is soft and genuine so I hold her hand too and she smiles back
She likes to give me something to look at she takes off the outfit of the day I watch her undress before me wearing only her smile and, I smile back © 2013 SlugAuthor's Note
