Caught in the Spider's Web

Caught in the Spider's Web

A Poem by Marcello

Love at first sight comes the lady of the night.
Perfect body, perfect eyes; living in disguise.
No matter what she does. No matter where she goes.
She'll never escape the past. Living to what the future holds.

          Where has her life gone:
A misled cry has brought her to this place.
A half-hearted lie has changed her face of grace.
Now she's a lady of the night.

Living in endless escapades, moving from one sin to another.
Shuffling her life like a deck from one room to another.
She regrets every moment; money binds her to this life.
Forgetting every instance to regain some dignity she has inside.
