Brittle Boned

Brittle Boned

A Poem by Marcella

the heavy dread hiding

crouching behind my organs

the familiarity of the heavy metal

weighting down every bone

calcium lacking its efficiency

every molecule so brittle

each cell overflowing with thick liquid

reaching the edge

pouring like rain sent by the holy

I collect each drop on the palm of my hand

anticipation taking over

leaving my insides hollow
