Hopes Down the River

Hopes Down the River

A Poem by Maraline-Elijah

With the trees, I flow,

Down with the river that runs dry

To the secrets held in its every branch

I create one more

Whispering in the wind it forms

The sentence down the stream

Picking up the fallen pedals

I reach for the last,

the definition of hope

Going home to create another,

and head back the next day
