Dance with Me

Dance with Me

A Poem by Maple Ellen

Dance with me, please.
Before all of me is decease.

Round, round, and round
We will go, completely unbound.

Nothing to stop us from leaving,
But life is so dread and fleeting

The floor might be full, though
It's alright, we'll drive through them like bulls!

Wait, dance with me
There is no outrageous fee

Why leaving so soon,
Like there is an upcoming typhoon

Oh, it's okay, it's alright
I'll try with some might

To be happy, dancing alone
With no one to truly hold

Someone, please,
Just dance with me

There's no hiding the elation in this poem. I'd say you built it from a place of excitement and pep. I also feel a sense of adventure in the lines. I'm happy to have read this.
