Mutual

Mutual

A Poem by Maple Ellen
"

I'm experience a mutual break-up. I've never felt this kind of sorrow before. It feels like we should fight for our bond and love. But even though we love each other, we're not right for each other.

"
What happens at the end?
Whenever we say our goodbyes

Our memories of our love just don't disappear

We were just two souls, entangled with one another
Never one, just deeply rooted

So when we pulled, the dry soul began to break

Even, though, it hurts, we have to break it up
To free ourselves, from an infertile field

Still so much love and work, but are we happy?

You want to stay grounded and set, while I want to soar and be free
So, then we know the answer

It will hurt, so much, we'll cry endless tears

With these words, will flow the happiness we once shared
Making us feel empty and with only loneliness to fill us

I love you, I'll miss you, but it's time to break up our souls
