Not for me

Not for me

A Poem by Maple Ellen
"

I'm sure everyone wants a life that's quiet and closed off. A sort of living that's predictable, such as a train on the railway. But, what the hell, let us drink and be merry as we live tragically.

"
I love the idea of a simplistic life

Ideally, in a neighborhood rounded by a culdisac

With neighbors that chat outside with trimmed hedges as their walls

With a home with a strong foundation and shades of red brick walls.

Greeted every morning by a husband with a kiss as I awoke.

Pancakes and juice downstairs and off to work we go.

It would be a life plotted out with a predictable ending.

Though, I crave for that touch of carefree mediocrity

I still lead a life that has so many possibilities

Anything can go

Not such a provincial life, was ever meant for me

Quite never meant to be

I love your honesty. I am not one to crave a simplistic life, but you have woven it in a dreamy way. Perception is everything and your piece opened my mind. Thanks for your point of view:)

Would be nice to have a mediocrity life. Just the simple and needed things we would need. I liked your thoughts and wish. Today world is greedy and never content with enough. Thank you Maple Ellen for sharing your amazing poetry.

Yeah how nice life as a train on track..always knew where it's heading..always home so familiar those walls and pathways I could run them eyes closed..
And yet oh no..I always loved my roads as never ending and never knowing where I go..stumble and fall
Never loved steady walks...life in chaos never knowing what's whats hid on the corner..
I want a life,I want to really live..
Lovely thoughts
