Not for meA Poem by Maple EllenI'm sure everyone wants a life that's quiet and closed off. A sort of living that's predictable, such as a train on the railway. But, what the hell, let us drink and be merry as we live tragically.
I love the idea of a simplistic life
Ideally, in a neighborhood rounded by a culdisac With neighbors that chat outside with trimmed hedges as their walls With a home with a strong foundation and shades of red brick walls. Greeted every morning by a husband with a kiss as I awoke. Pancakes and juice downstairs and off to work we go. It would be a life plotted out with a predictable ending. Though, I crave for that touch of carefree mediocrity I still lead a life that has so many possibilities Anything can go Not such a provincial life, was ever meant for me Quite never meant to be © 2017 Maple EllenReviews
