They have always stayedA Poem by Maple EllenIn my school years, I was quite shy. I was often bullied due to my reservation. But the library was my sanctum and its books were my escape.
She was a descendant of the books,
a library could be her sanctuary. To seek solace within fine pages, exchanging the world for solitude. Weaving firm words in her mind, Readily pushing her soul forth. The tales of fairies, heroes, and adventure, welcome her with such zealous fervor. So much excitement is sought, when they call, She has no doubt in their promises. Those inked pages have always stayed, and they will reside, within her sanctuary.
