your love is my hell

your love is my hell

A Poem by Amanda Naomi

It isn’t in the flames

Or the gnashing of teeth:

             My hell

Its in your touch

Your sweet caress

You loving embrace

It is not guarded by Cerberus

Nor Hades, Satan, no Pluto

It is in your promise

To love me, protect me

To be with me always

The road is not wide

Nor by the river styx

Its in your voice

Calling my name

Sweetly singing to me

And as I lay here dying

In my sinful pleasures

I can think of no better way

Than to spend my eternal life

In hell

This is really good, very vivid and I can completely relate to it, well in my own way I guess. It flowed very nicely and brings all kind of images to mind. Keep up the great writing!

Very nicely done. As I read I invisioned a man, going about his daily activities, and a woman, though he could not see her, reciting this poem as she died and reaching out for his embrace. Very nicely written. I loved it.
