Love

Love

A Poem by Amanda Naomi
"

this is a poem of lines from my favorite songs, books, and movies. enjoy....

"

What will come will come and we’ll meat it when it does

For worry is wasteful and useless in times like these

Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end

Do you hate her because she’s pieces of you?

What can men do against such reckless hate?

Contempt loves the silence, it thrives in the dark

But there’s some good left in the world and it’s worth fighting for

Life goes on, I gotta keep breathing

Everybody makes mistakes

But the greatest of these is love

Pieces of us die every day

To find a dream and a life of their own

I wish none of this had happened

It’s a cold and it’s a broken hallelujah

And cold hearts don’t breath

Anyone can start a conflict, it’s harder yet to disregard it

A rose by any other name would smell as sweet, all you need is love

It would seem like wisdom but for the warning in my heart.
