She looked upon her burning world

Unafraid, with longing eyes

Wishing to see the day her death would bring about

The peace her land would know

 

Unannounced her only lover walked deadly through the doors

Praying she would change the truth

That those eyes had never lied

The dagger burning in his hand

 

She turned to face her fate, it plunged

Her soft belly turned red with blood

Her dying breath: for him to know

Her love had ended all
