A Poem by Amanda Naomi

How?

How does this darkness sweep in

Without it really being him?

Why?

Why can't you believe

That this pain will someday leave?

I.

I'm screaming in my fear

Yet you will never hear.

How?

How will your story end?

Will you or him or more be dead?

Why?

Why do you do these things

And leave me with these awful dreams?

I.

I'm screaming in my fear

Yet you will just not hear.

How?

How on Earth can I say

All the things need said today?

Why?

Why can't you understand

That I want to help and lend a hand?

I.

I'm screaming in my fear

And still you will never hear.

How? Why?

Author's Note

Amanda Naomi
it was only until after i wrote this poem did i realize that it was not my place nor my duty to 'fix' my friend's boy problems....by the way, the friend i'm speaking to is the same as the one in "Fantasy"
