Only TwoA Poem by Michelle TarnowskiBut in the space of a heartbeat time stood still to let eternity pass.....
Love at first sight….it sounded so old fashioned A phrase taken out of the past and brought into a place where it should no longer apply. But in the space of a heartbeat time stood still to let eternity pass In a single breaths measure the world around them disappeared until it held only two They became two hearts sharing the same rhythm two breaths mingled into one two souls joined in unity Their warm kisses burned like fire Their cool hands kindled flames flashing across their skin Leaving little in the aftermath As if in a dream they moved together In whispers softer than the night they shared their hearts secrets Between them they held everything they had been searching for. © 2009 Michelle TarnowskiReviews
